Misidentification
Every day across Australia, women — especially those from marginalised communities — are being misidentified as the ‘primary aggressor’ in domestic violence incidents. This video exposes how the system gets it wrong: punitive policing practices, racialised assumptions, trauma responses mistaken for aggression, and a lack of understanding of survival-based behaviours.
Misidentification destroys lives. It removes children. It criminalises victims. It silences truth.
This video calls for urgent reform grounded in lived experience, cultural competency, and social sustainability. Our communities deserve systems that protect, not punish.
